Nhóm MSM Việt Nam và những rủi ro khi đi nước ngoài
HIV knowledge and risks among Vietnamese men who have sex with men traveling abroad
This cross-sectional survey of 100 Vietnamese MSM explored knowledge about HIV transmission and sexual risk behavior while travelling outside of Vietnam. Survey participants were mostly university educated and less than 30 years old. Casual sex was reported on 39% of trips, while alcohol was consumed on 83% of trips. Casual sex while travelling was significantly associated with travelling alone and having a university education. Only 4% of participants reported condomless sex with casual partners while travelling.
The project was funded by a grant from the Purple Sky Network as part of the Southeast Asia MSM Leadership Development Program with support from TREATAsia and the American Foundation for AIDS Research (amfAR).
